David Raum is more likely to play in England

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

David Raum signing for Borussia Dortmund from Hoffenheim seem very slim. Premier League sides are already deep in the race.

David Raum has had a sensational season with Hoffenheim in the last Bundesliga season. The German National Team has also considered him, thanks to his performances. Now, Bayern Munich’s arch-rivals Dortmund is looking to sign him but it doesn’t seem possible.

Other Europeans interested in Raum

Sport1 reports claim that Newcastle, West Ham, and the Premier League giants Manchester United are interested in Raum.

The attacking wing-back assisted on 11 occasions and netted the ball thrice in the 2021-22 season. His aggressive surges forward make up for a few minor flaws in his defensive style.

In comparison to the equally skilled Raphael Guerreiro, Raum routinely advances and exerts some pressure in the closing stages. As a result, the Red Devils want his signature so bad and see his presentation at Old Trafford.

Dortmund’s situation

Dortmund is still seeking to atone for a €25 million left-back purchase it made for Nico Schulz four years ago. However, he barely made it, and as the team attempts to let him go, his salary is becoming more of a concern.

Signing Süle and other transfers

BVB is currently in shambles regarding transfers. Despite making £65 million from Haaland’s Man City signing, the club barely is stable. Karim Adeyemi and Sebastian Haller both are available for more than £25 million.

On the other hand, they signed Süle from Bayern Munich, but his salary is a huge concern. All this forces the bees to sell more players, as a result of which, Rafal Guerreiro is on the market.

Should Raum leave for England?

Dortmund will be hoping for the development of potential young people if Raum does depart for the Premier League.

Tom Rothe, 17, already has scored a significant senior squad goal, while 18-year-old Prince Aning has just joined the club after leaving Ajax’s youth academy. Guerreiro & Schulz will require some time, but it’s probable that they’ll both be starring for Borussia the following year.

Apart from the market, Raum could play a significant role for Manchester United‘s left side of the pitch if they sign him. The Premier League is certainly the most competitive league in the world and this would open up new possibilities for the German.
