Everton interested to sign this player from Tottenham

Harry Winks

Everton are reportedly trying to bring Tottenham Hotspurs Harry Winks to Goodison Park which is also in the player’s best interests.

Michael bridge from Sky Sports claims that Winks is looking forward to a move to Everton in the upcoming transfer window. The toffees’ manager Frank Lampard also has shown interest in the 26-year-old and plans to land him for £91,000 a week.

Tottenham’s take on Winks

The Spurs are okay with their rivals signing Winks but are only willing to sell him and loan options have been ruled out. The midfielder has had difficulty getting game time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and it is obvious that manager Antonio Conte does not believe the player can play frequently for his squad.

Yves Bissouma’s signing

Antonio Conte has signed Yves Bissouma from Brighton and Hove Albion. The Italian manager is satisfied with the midfield depth on landing this 25-year-old. As a result, paving way for Winks’ exit.

Spurs are wanting a swap deal with Everton. They want former Ajax player Richarlison for Harry Winks which is clearly a laughable deal. But as things stand, the player wishes to join Everton and there’s interest from the club as well. Maybe this deal can happen and maybe not.

Everton’s take on Winks

The club believes Harry Winks is the last piece of their missing puzzle for a well-mannered midfield. Toffees told Sky Sports on the 23rd of this month that Winks could see a future in Goodison Park.

Although Winks may be a crucial part of Lampard’s Everton style, it would be unsettling if the Spurs player were considered one of the best Toffees’ high-profile acquisitions.

Should Winks sign for Everton?

Everton is a well-established side in the Premier League. Stepping down from the ‘Big Six’ to a rather smaller club can fetch him some game time.

On the other hand, Frank Lampard is a legendary midfielder who won multiple titles. He can surely lend the youngster a hand in becoming a top player.

He makes playing center-midfield highly appealing to the eye and may be an excellent choice for a team that likes to control the game. Everton must be careful not to overspend for his expertise, though.
