Ravi Kumar to be retained by RoundGlass Punjab FC

I-League Champion RoundGlass Punjab FC is going to retain Ravi Kumar before the start of their first-ever Hero ISL campaign. The 30-year-old Uttar Pradesh-born goalie has been with the club since the 2022 season. The experienced ISL goalkeeper will definitely help the team to perform well in their maiden ISL season.

Player Profile: Ravi Kumar:

Ravi started his career at Tata FA. He played three matches for the Indian U-19 Football team and also played a match for the Indian U-23 Football team. The right-footed GK started his club career with Pailan Arrows (now known as Indian Arrows FC).

Ravi has played for SC de Goa, Delhi Dynamos, Minerva Punjab, NorthEast United, and Odisha FC. In 2021–22, Ravi went to Mumbai City FC on loan from Odisha. Lastly, he was signed by RoundGlass Punjab FC in 2022–23.

Performance in stats:

In 2012-13, Ravi Kumar played six games for Pailan Arrows while keeping a clean sheet as well. Between 2013 and 2015, he played 36 games in the I-League, keeping 12 clean sheets, and also appeared in a Federation Cup match for SC de Goa.

After not getting much game time, Ravi Kumar has switched to the I-League for RoundGlass Punjab FC.

Ravi as a RoundGlass FC player:

Ravi shifted clubs in search of game time, but he did not get much game time with his new club. He has played only one I-League match with RoundGlass, where he also kept a clean sheet.

Evaluating his performance and experience in the ISL, they are all set to retain Ravi for their Goalkeeper slot. In the upcoming season, they will be playing as Punjab FC. They are fully determined to perform well in their maiden ISL outing.

It’s also buzzing that they have inquired about the availability of former FC Goa captain and Spanish Midfielder Edu Bedia for a possible transfer.
