Rodrygo Silva de Goes, simply known as Rodrygo, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward for La Liga club Real Madrid and the Brazil national team. Rodrygo, with the player joining Los Blancos in June 2019 and signing until 2025. On 25 September 2019, he made his first team debut and scored his first league goal against Osasuna within a mere minute. He scored his first hat-trick and gave an assist for the club aged 18 years, against Galatasaray in a 6–0 win in the 2019–20 UEFA Champions League season. He is also the second youngest ever to score a hat-trick in the competition.

Unfortunately, the Brazilian forward has not been able to continue his run at Real Madrid. Till now in this season, he has only a goal and an assist. Moreover, he is a nine-game goalless run after having scored in the season-opener against Athletic Bilbao.

Who will replace him?

A player who has done very well with the chances that he has been given is Joselu. Many people did not believe Spaniard before he had even played a game for Real Madrid. But he has been proving everyone wrong since then.

Therefore, questions are raised about his place in the team. And if things do not change quickly, it might be only a matter of time before Rodrygo is sent to the bench and Joselu becomes the starter in the team replacing him. Joselu is currently on loan from Espanyol. He has scored 4 goals and provided 2 assists in 10 appearances and 536 minutes of action for Real Madrid.
