Real Madrid plotting a massive summer transfer window next year

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Even though Real Madrid failed to sign their long term target Kylian Mbappe this summer, the club is now looking towards the next transfer window. As per multiple reports, Madrid are planning on a massive triple transfer in the summer of 2022.

Mbappe is going to be one of them with Real Madrid coming close to signing him this summer. However, PSG was not ready to sell the Frenchman and it is now almost sure that he will be joining Madrid on a free transfer next summer. The other two players include Paul Pogba and Erling Braut Haaland.

This big summer transfer plan is coming after Real Madrid president Florentino Perez failed the Super League move. Perez during that time said that clubs like Madrid are not able to sustain themselves and will not be able to spend big on transfers.

CAN MADRID PULL OF THE TRIPLE TRANSFER

One could say that Madrid will not be spending big on transfers. This is because both Mbappe and Pogba are in the final year of their contract and could join the Los Blancos for free. As for Haaland, his release clause of €75 million will become active from 2022, meaning that they won’t have to spend fortunes on signing him.

But this does not mean that signing them will be cheap. All three of them will demand extremely high wages, and Madrid will have to find ways to accommodate that. The club could continue selling their players to bring back another Galacticos era.

Madrid has been underwhelming in their recent seasons with multiple main players leaving the club. Bringing in these three will surely help in claiming back their dominance in Europe. There will be stiff competition from other top clubs, especially for the signature of Haaland. The Norwegian is at the top of the shopping list for multiple clubs including Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and PSG.

PSG will also be a hindrance in signing Mbappe, as they are pushing towards a contract renewal. Similarly, the French giants are also interested in signing Paul Pogba next summer alongside his former club Juventus. Even with all these competitions, if Madrid can complete these transfers, it will surely go down as one of the best in football history.
