About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

La Liga giants Real Madrid have reportedly won the race to sign Bayern Munich star David Alaba.

David Alaba joined Bayern Munich in the year 2010 and since then he has made over 264 appearances for the Bavarians and he has gone on to win 23 accolades for the club which includes the Bundesliga which they have won 9 times and the Champions League 2 times.

However his time in Bayern started to run out as he started to come down the pecking order due to the arrival of Alphonso Davies who immediately took his spot due to the brilliant performances he has been putting up for Bayern.

Rumors started to speculate that he might not be with Bayern next season as he isn’t getting enough playtime therefore he may be looking at a potential exit from Bayern.

Real Madrid have won the race to sign Alaba?

Liverpool, PSG, and Real Madrid have made inquiries to Bayern regarding the star’s availability.

However, Real Madrid have beaten the other European clubs in a race to grab the Austrian’s signature

According to the Guardian Real Madrid have agreed to sign the 28-year-old on a four-year contract. Alaba will earn 230,000 (£204,000) after tax.

Real Madrid who are 2nd in La Liga wanted to strengthen their backline and they looked at bringing more talent into the squad hence they kept an eye on Alaba and they lured him away from Bayern as a free agent.

Madrid will look forward to Alaba’s arrival as his signing could be a major boost to the defense and Alaba on the other hand will look set on making a major impact as it was his dream to play for Real Madrid.
