Juventus are reportedly willing to offer French midfielder Adrien Rabiot to Manchester United for the signature of Brazilian left-back Alex Telles in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Juventus are looking to bring a new left-back for next season. Alex Sandro has had his injury issues this season and the Bianconeri don’t have any other choice on that position. So, Alex Telles will be a good option for Andrea Pirlo’s side for next season.
The Red Devils bought Telles last October from FC Porto for €15 million. The 28-year-old left-back made 20 appearances for Manchester United this season and produced four assists for his teammates. He has a contract with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side until June 2024.
The swap deal involving Rabiot and Telles could be possible as Manchester United were looking to bring Rabiot to Old Trafford in 2019 before he joined Juventus in a free transfer. United have been linked with the 26-year-old midfielder in the past for quite a few times.
Will Juventus and Manchester United come to an agreement?
According to reports, Juventus are looking for enforcements on the left-back position and Manchester United left-back Alex Telles is one of the main targets for that spot for the Old Lady.
The report also said that, keeping in mind the financial difficulties of Juventus, Fabio Paratici, the Juventus Chief Football Officer, could offer Adrien Rabiot as part of the Telles deal.
The 26-year-old midfielder played regular football under Andrea Pirlo this season. He made 40 appearances in all competitions and managed to score three times and contribute two assists.
Rabiot hasn’t had a great time in Turin since his free transfer. He is on a huge wage and unable to live up to that amount. So, Juventus are willing to move on the midfielder to clear up his wage and bring in the former Inter Milan defender.
Similarly, Telles has found it difficult to find regular first-team football at Old Trafford. When Manchester United signed Alex Telles, everyone thought he would be the number one choice left-back for Solskjaer’s side. However, Luke Shaw has had an amazing season and he remains the first choice left-back for Manchester United.
