Manchester United are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Juventus’ young Swedish winger Dejan Kulusevski in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Kulusevski is having an up-and-down debut season for Juventus. The Bianconeri bought the 22-year-old winger from Atalanta for €35 million in January 2020. However, he played the rest of the 2019-2020 season at Parma on loan.
Since joining Andrea Pirlo’s side Kulusevski has made 30 appearances. Out of those 30, he started only 16 games in Serie A. The Swedish international has scored four times and assisted once.
The Atalanta youth academy product has a contract with Bianconeri until June 2025. This means if Manchester United desperately want to buy Kulusevski then they will need to spend huge.
Will Juventus sell Kulusevski to Manchester United this summer?
According to Calciomercato, many suitors have already knocked on the door of Juventus for the possibility of signing Kulusevski and Manchester United are one of them. The Red Devils tried to bring him at Old Trafford last term but they failed to complete the deal and in the end, Juventus snatched Kulusevski from Atalanta.
However, Juventus have clearly stated that they have no intention of putting their youngster on the transfer market after buying him just a year ago. Despite his age, he has already become the second most expensive player from Sweden just behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Kulusevski made his senior international debut for Sweden on 18 November 2019, coming on as a substitute for Ken Sema in a 3–0 win against the Faroe Islands in the last game of the Euro 2020 qualifying stage. Since then he has appeared 11 times for Sweden and managed to find the back of the net once.
Juventus are reportedly interested in bringing back Paul Pogba from Manchester United. To make the deal reality The Old Lady will have to sit down with Manchester United. Due to the financial difficulties Juventus faces, they might have to offer players to Manchester United to sign Pogba. And Kulusevski could be an option for that as United are showing interest in him.
