Erik ten Hag has responded when asked how important it is to have Rasmus Hojlund back in the Manchester United fold after his injury.

Injury

Rasmus Hojlund, a Danish attacker, sustained a muscle injury during the 1-0 victory against Luton Town at Old Trafford. As a result, the forward was unable to play in the remaining minutes of the match against the Hatters or the 3-0 triumph over Everton.
The Red Devils had their best away Premier League victory. Since United beat Tottenham 3-0 in October 2021, thanks to a stunning second-half performance at Goodison Park.

The Red Devils’ matchup with Galatasaray tonight is crucial, as a victory is required at all costs.

Speaking on the United website prior to the pivotal match in Turkey. Erik ten Hag praised both Anthony Martial, Hojlund’s successor at Goodison Park, and Hojlund in equal measure.

Rasmus Hojlund Praised

Ten Hag praised the Danish forward, saying, “He did marvellous.” .”You’re a young player participating in your first Champions League season. You’ve already scored five goals, and he’s very motivated to score more.”

However, Anthony Martial also scored and was given a penalty against Everton. So he performed admirably. Therefore, it’s excellent that we have alternatives, and we’re happy to incorporate those possibilities into the game.

As previously stated, there are advantages and disadvantages to both options. So it’s a tough decision, but Martial did shown several traits this season, like poise in front of goal and playmaking in between goals.

It is probable that Hojlund, the former Atalanta striker, will spearhead the attack because the Danish forward has five goals in the Champions League and will be hoping to maintain his strong play.

If the Red Devils want to hang on to the victory in the last 20 minutes of the match in Turkey, having Martial on the bench may be crucial.
