Bukayo Saka on Liverpool and Manchester City radar

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Arsenal starboy Bukayo Saka is now on the radar of giants Liverpool and Manchester City. Rumours are afloat that if the Gunners fail to achieve Champions League qualification, the Englishman could bid adieu to the Emirates.

Titleholders City and Liverpool are keeping a close eye on the situation as it unfolds. Meanwhile, Saka is nearing the final 12 months of his deal with Mikel Arteta’s side. So far, the winger has spent his all years in North London. If they end up losing him, it would be a bitter pill to swallow.

Aged 20, Saka dons the No.7 shirt. As time passes, his stock will inevitably increase as he gets better. This is the main reason Liverpool and Manchester City so eagerly await him. If Arsenal do lose him, they are giving up an absolute gem of a player.

Why is Klopp keen on bringing Saka to Liverpool

Coming to the new season, Bukayo Saka has been crucial for the Gunners. He has been pivotal whenever Arsenal recorded positive results. In 21 games, he has notched up 6 goals and 4 assists.

It is this very form and influence that has Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp salivating at the thought of landing his signature. Especially Klopp, who might be ready for a few major tweaks – given that Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are slowly running down their deals.

However, all said and done, Arsenal still have the majority of control in Saka’s case. They stand a high chance of booking a berth in next season’s Champions League. Arteta’s men occupy the 6th position in the table presently, trailing the 4th placed Red Devils by 2 points.

A decisive factor, the Gunners have played 1 game less than United. If they win it, they could easily clear the Red Devils and move up.
