The 38-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur’s player Luka Modric has been playing at Real Madrid since a decade. He has been an exceptional for the team throughout these years. He has won the Ballon d’Or and has been instrumental in winning 23 trophies. The player also helped the team win five Champions League titles.
Ex-Madrid player on Luka Modric
Reported by a former Real Madrid player Pedja Mijatovic in a Spanish Radio show El Larguero, said about Modric’s situation:
“You can completely understand why Modric is upset.
He has chosen to stay, he is going through a difficult time – the first time he’s experienced something like this since he arrived, but Luka Modric is a player who always lifts himself up.”
During the summer, he was one of the players expected to leave but he’s still there and at 38. Luka is the long-serving member of the Real Madrid team. Most interestingly, he has now gone two consecutive games on bench, something that has not happened since 2012, his first season.
This recent struggle to get into starting lineup, Luka Modric is rumoured unhappy. He has been linked with a move to Inter Miami to team up with Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets & Jordi Alba. A move to the Saudi Pro League is also believed to be an option.
Unfortunately, it seems like Luka Modric’s exit at Real Madrid is possible in near future. Unless he improves his game time, there might be no other option.
