Can Tomori find a place in the Milan squad?

AC Milan are impressed with the performance of Fikayo Tomori. The English defender signed on a 6-month loan deal from Chelsea with an option to buy. But the £26 million release clause is a problem for Serie A Giants.

According to Express, the Italian side’s sporting director Frederic Massara is yet to decide about the activation of the release clause. Because the amount is too big.

“We’ll see if we pay Fikayo Tomori’s buy option. We are very happy about his start here, the price is very high. We will decide in the coming months”. Rossoneri director Massara told DAZN.

Fikayo Tomori’ performance in AC Milan:

It takes too long to make an impact on Serie A. Tomori needed some time to get into Milan’s playing XI. He excelled in the previous week’s game against Roma by securing a 2-1 win for Italian giants. The 23 years old English defender impressed everyone in Milan.

Rossoneri legend and technical director Paolo Maldini confirmed that they will hold talks with Premier League giants at the end of the season regarding Tomori’s future in Italy.

“We always try to have an option to buy. Sometimes it is not possible and in order to have the player you give up. We had to fight enough for Tomori. We are convinced that he can help us. He has different characteristics from the defenders in the squad.” – Milan Director Massara told Sempremilan.

Fikayo Tomori’s future in AC Milan:

Tomori should perform well in upcoming matches. That should be a way to stick in the Rossoneri’s team. He has extraordinary physical strength, aggression, and speed which are the best fit for Milan’s tactics. The former Chelsea defender has a great future in Milan after he proved himself to be the best in the squad. He has a lot of challenges to be undergone in this team. For now, we have to wait a while to watch his performance in upcoming games.
