Official: Real Madrid sign 18-year-old Rennais prodigy Eduardo Camavinga

It’s official! Real Madrid have won the race for Eduardo Camavinga, signing the youngster for a fee of €31 million. It was late at night when reports flooded with a surprise from the Madrid side as they landed the young talent from Stade Rennais. All Madrid fans were waiting for Kylian Mbappe’s news but instead got another Ligue 1 talent in their team.

Camavinga has been a hot target since showing his talent full of protentional in Stade Rennais. Making his debut in the 2018/19 season aged only 16 has now appeared 88 times for Stade Rennai’s first team. And playing as holding and attacking midfielder scored 2 goals and assisted 5 in all competitions.

Following his growth, there was a huge line of clubs waiting to sign the youngster, with Real Madrid being one of them. And with only one year left in his contract, the French side were also willing to sell him this summer. And it seems they are successful in their goal after reports emerged of Eduardo Camavinga to Real Madrid.

Late at night, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Real Madrid and Stade Rennais have agreed on €31 million for Camavinga. Completing his medical the youngster will be set to sign the contract with the Spanish giants. And the Madrid fans may also be able to see him in next match against Celta Vigo on 13 September.

It is likely that Camavinga might not be getting more game time this season, due to Madrid’s packed-up midfield. But it is sure he will learn and develop from the dynamic duo of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos. With both midfielders moving towards the end of their career Camavinga could rise to the occasion in the future.
