According to several reports, Arsenal is willing to offer €30 million to swoop Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid this summer. The youngster is unhappy with his current role at Madrid and wants a way out of the club this summer to have more game time. Following the situation of more game time, Arsenal is the likely destination for Odegaard.

The 22-year-old joined Real Madrid‘s first team in 2017 from Madrid’s youth setup Castilla and has only been able to appear 11 times since then. He has mainly been a loan subject as till now he has been loaned out to four different clubs. Odegaard spent the second half of the last season at Arsenal on loan after not having much game time under Zidane.

The youngster played 20 matches for the gunners in which he scored 2 goals and 2 assists. Odegaard was mainly used as an attacking midfielder and playmaker by Arteta. Following which both Odegaard and Arteta developed a strong relationship at Arsenal.

However, the youngster returned from his loan deal and was hoping to see more game time under new manager Ancelotti. But the Italian seems to favor Modric, Kroos, Valverde, and Casemiro ahead of Odegaard. And following this situation the Norwegian star has demanded to leave this summer.

As the situation of Odegaard was public Arsenal were the first team to make a bid for the youngster. Arteta has been a fan of Odegaard and made him a priority signing this summer for his midfield. Earlier this summer the Gunners have bided two times for the youngster but Madrid were not ready to sell him. However this time it seems Arsenal might be able to land Odegaard following his game-time situation.
