ATK Mohun Bagan sign Amrinder Singh from Mumbai City FC

ATK Mohun Bagan have announced the signing of Amrinder Singh from the Indian Super League 2020 winners Mumbai City FC on a five-year deal.

The 28-year-old custodian has been a part of the Mumbai City FC for five succeeding seasons appearing in 82 matches.

He is currently at Doha as a part of the Indian National Team for the forthcoming World Cup qualifying matches.

In 2015 Atlético de Kolkata signed Amrinder on a loan deal from Pune. He made his ISL debut against Chennaiyin FC that ended with a 2-3 victory over the Machans that season. He appeared in 13 fixtures for ATK that season.

“Even though I played in Kolkata before, it was for a very short time. This joining, of course, is going to be a new chapter in my football career.”-Amrinder

ATK Mohun Bagan were the rivalries of Mumbai City FC, they locked horns in the 2020-21 season finals, which ended with a 2-1 victory for Mumbai City FC, Amrinder kept 10 clean sheets and made 61 saves that were extremely significant for the winning of the Islanders.

“Winning all the trophies for Mumbai last year was a memorable event in my life. I want the same success in the Green-Maroon jersey next season.”-Amrinder

It’s a homecoming for Amrinder to the ATK Mohun Bagan, he is excited to be a part of the Mariners and reunite with his former boss Antonio López Habas.
