Barcelona are interested in cashing out Raphinha in the January transfer window

Rumor

In spite of Barcelona’s first trophy under Xavi Hernandez, the club management are busy looking to restore their finances. Barcelona intends to extend the contracts of Gavi and Ronald Araujo as early as possible, but they do not have the money to do so. Meanwhile, they also show interest in renewing Alejandro Balde’s contract.

Consequently, the Blaugrana have decided to drop players like Memphis Depay, Franck Kessie, Ferran Torres, Eric Garcia, and Hector Bellerin, who are out of favor.

Money Barcelona demands if they let Raphinha go

Also, reports say, Barcelona will consider offers for Raphinha, another flop, during the current transfer window.

Last summer, Raphinha joined Barcelona from Leeds United. Despite Chelsea and Arsenal’s interest, Barca opted to sign the 26-year-old for €58 million in fixed transfer fees plus an additional €9 million to cover add-on fees.

Unfortunately, Raphinha’s Barcelona career has not gone as planned. The Brazilian winger has not been able to make much of an impact. Hence Xavi has been forced to rely heavily on Robert Lewandowski and Ousmane Dembele in the final third. Due to Raphinha’s lack of performance, the report states he will be among the players who might leave on a transfer deal.

Following the failure to sign Mykhailo Mudryk, Arsenal revisited their interest in Raphinha after losing out on the deal. Barcelona might let the player leave for some other club for a transfer fee of 100 million euros.

Hence it’s unlikely for Arsenal and the other clubs to go for the Brazillian for such a hefty amount. But only time will tell the player’s future.
