Julian Araujo

With Barcelona seeking to accelerate exit activities in the coming weeks, Gerard Romero reports that they have already received two large offers for one of their young forward, Ez Abde. The 21-year-old winger is presently on loan at Osasuna, where he has made an immediate impact. He has six goals and two assists in 31 appearances across all competitions, but his impact extends beyond that.

Barcelona might sell Ez Abde to fix FFP issues

Abde was instrumental in Osasuna finishing as Copa del Rey runners-up, as well as their push for a top-half finish in La Liga. Jagoba Arrasate’s team is presently tenth in the table, three points behind seventh-placed Athletic Club. Abde’s performances in Osasuna did not go unnoticed. Previous rumours stated that Barcelona intended to maintain the 21-year-old as an option on the left wing next season. However, it has recently been rumoured that the newly crowned La Liga champions are willing to transfer him if good offers come in.

Romero now believes that Barcelona has two ‘huge’ offers for Abde. According to the latest update, one of the approaches came from a La Liga club, while the other came from a team outside of Spain. Leeds United have recently been linked with a bid for the Moroccan international, with sources claiming that they are willing to pay €40 million for him. A move, though, may be unlikely if they are demoted from the Premier League.

However, Romero reports that Barcelona has two very attractive offers on the table for Abde. Only time will tell what this implies for the winger’s future.
