Barcelona on the chase for Vitor Roque amidst fierce competition

Football is awash with raw talent, and betting on the future is the new fad. This strategy helped clubs establish a sustainable future in a heavily inflated transfer market. Barcelona is on their way to do exactly the same. Even Real Madrid’s new approach is hitting obstacles as shown with the signing of Endrick. With a transfer fee of €60 million (including variables), Real Madrid signed the 16-year-old from Palmeiras in December.

In June, however, Barcelona could face a similar situation. Vitor Roque of Athletico Paranaese can be the future of the Catalan forward line. They intend to go all out for his signing. However, without a competitive bidding war, it is difficult to bag the player.

Can Barcelona lock in Vitor Roque?

Barcelona’s top target is Roque, according to Mundo Deportivo. Spotify Camp Nou is the preferred destination for the player, who has several offers from top European clubs.

In addition, the Blaugranas have assured the player’s entourage that they will travel to Brazil in order to negotiate the signing with Athletico Paranaese. During the recent South American U-20 Championship, Roque helped his nation to victory and was the top scorer. In the past year, his meteoric rise has culminated in this accomplishment.

As a result of the fierce competition for Roque’s signing, the Brazilian club are patiently waiting for the summer to oversee a bidding war. Ultimately, Athletico Paranaese hopes to maximize their returns through Europe’s internal tussle with not putting a price tag on the forward.

Nevertheless, the player might to be available for a fee between €30 million and €40 million in June. In light of interest from English, Spanish, and Italian clubs, and an offer of €25 million already rejected, the price could rise significantly.
