When Youri Tielemans played for Anderlecht, he was one of the top midfield prospects in the world. Belgian international even served as captain of Anderlecht before joining AS Monaco. Leicester City proved to be a better fit after he moved from Ligue 1 to the Premier League. He has since become one of the top midfielders in the Premier League.
During his time at Leicester, the 25-year-old has scored 28 goals and assisted 25 others. Due to Tielemans’s contract expiration, the Foxes are in a bit of trouble regarding his long-term future. Barcelona, among other clubs, has taken note of such a situation.
Financial situation being the barrier for Barcelona
Barcelona’s financial woes appear to have no end in sight. Their European exit has made matters worse, as they have lost crucial revenue since losing to Manchester United. In the summer transfer window, Blaugrana will need to bolster their squad by signing free agents.
