Next summer, Chelsea may have another opportunity to capture Barcelona winger Fati. He is presently on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion. Chelsea was said to be actively pursuing Fati in the last transfer window.
The 20-year-old now plays at the Amex Stadium. According to reports, Barcelona wants to sell him so that another team, like Chelsea, may compete for his services.
Chelsea reportedly pursued Ansu Fati throughout the summer, but he ultimately signed with Brighton, a Premier League competitor.
No Trust from Barcelona
Ansu Fati has only scored one goal since joining the Premier League. Last Saturday’s devastating 6-1 loss to Aston Villa. The news that Barcelona is prepared to let Fati depart permanently comes as a bit of a shock.
Although the Spain international has recently struggled, in part because of injuries, he is still only 20 years old. Fati has plenty of time to turn things around. Ivan Rakitic praised him as having “incredible talent,” and he is a good striker.
However, it doesn’t appear that Ansu Fati is remarkable enough for Barcelona to hang onto him. But next summer, their loss may be another team’s gain, like Chelsea, Brighton, or another one. If Fati realizes his full potential, which is still conceivable considering how young he is, he might well wind up being a player who Barcelona sold too early.
