About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Camavinga reportedly is in talks to sign new contract which is a huge blow to Manchester United.

Eduardo Camavinga joined Rennes youth academy in 2013. And since then the 18-year-old French midfielder has made 49 appearances and has scored twice.

Camavinga’ versatility as a midfielder has attracted the attention of top European clubs and one of them is Manchester United.

Manchester United have been keeping an eye on Camavinga since last summer. But their desire to land the French talisman may reach a dead end as there are talks between the player and Rennes over a possible contract extension.

NEW CONTRACT WOULD END MANCHESTER UNITED’ HOPE OF SIGNING CAMAVINGA

Camavinga‘ contract with Rennes runs till 2022. However, according to SB Nation, there are talks between the player and the club regarding a possible contract extension.

This news would be a blow to United as they were keen on bringing him on board this summer.

Manchester United, who are second in the Premier League, looked forward to making key signings in the summer. They look at a possibility of a major overhaul too.

One of the players they were set to bring to Old Trafford was Camavinga. His presence would be a major boost to the midfield as he is regarded by many as the next ‘Paul Pogba’.

But a move seems unlikely to happen if he extends his contract with Rennes. However, if the contract extension talks break down then United will make sure they complete his signing.
