Chelsea have high hopes in their new signing Kendry Páez

In a widely covered transfer, Chelsea has successfully acquired Kendry Páez from Independiente del Valle in Ecuador. The Blues secured the signing of Kendry Páez when he was just 15 years old. However, due to age-related regulations, the official move to Stamford Bridge will have to wait for a few more years. Despite this, he is already a part of the Chelsea squad.

Having played a role in overseeing the transfers of Moises Caicedo, Nicolas Jackson, and Kendry Páez to Chelsea, Andrea Pellegatti, the representative, talked about the latter. In response, he expressed almost boundless praise and admiration for his client, Kendry Páez.

Pellegatti said: “He is one of the rising stars of international football. He has already made his debut in the Copa Libertadores. He is already in the senior national team. Chelsea are active in their recruitment. They have signed him for 2025. We will certainly hear a lot about him.”

Can Kendry Páez thrive at Chelsea?

Kendry Páez, the aspiring Chelsea talent, has already earned four caps for the Ecuador national team. Meanwhile, scoring a goal in the process. In addition to his international success, he is a regular presence for his club. Thus, making 30 appearances across all competitions in 2023. During this time, he has scored five goals and provided three assists.

Chelsea now only needs to wait for a year and a half before Kendry Páez officially joins the squad. This prospect brings delight to the Stamford Bridge faithful, who can look forward to supporting yet another promising young star in the near future.
