Andreas Christensen signed with FC Barcelona last year on a free transfer after his contract with Chelsea expired. He gradually turned out to be an essential player in Xavi’s squad, on whom the manager heavily relies.
What made Xavi rely on Christensen so much?

Despite the possibility of Inigo Martinez arriving as another centre-back, Xavi has ruled out the sale of Christensen this summer.
