Crawley Town have signed Kwesi Appiah from NorthEast United FC

England’s fourth-tier club Crawley Town FC have roped in striker Kwesi Appiah from the Indian Super League club NorthEast United FC on a one-year contract with an option to an extent for further years.

The club announced the signing of the Ghanaian forward via Twitter on Monday.

Appiah had joined NorthEast United in August 2020 on a one-year contract. In his debut season in India and the Indian Super League, he clocked 453 minutes across 8 fixtures and scored thrice.

The 31 years old striker has played 183 matches since his professional debut from which he managed to add 51 goals to his name and provided 11 assists.

Appiah has played for numerous clubs and is no doubt one of the experienced strikers every club will admire.

Ever since he started playing football he has played for 17 different clubs. Injuries have had an impact on his career as they forced him to move from one club to another.

Before joining NorthEast United Appiah played for London-based club AFC Wimbledon. During his stint, he featured in 59 fixtures and scored 11 goals.

With his huge experience, he will add great value to his preset club Crawley Town. The club is currently competing in the EFL League Two.
