Don Carlo wants Richarlison at Real Madrid

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is keen on reuniting with Everton forward Richarlison at the Santiago Bernabéu. Ancelotti has informed the Real board that he would like to bring the Brazilian to the club.

Previously, Richarlison was under Ancelotti at Everton when the latter was appointed head coach in 2019. The forward bagged 20 goals in all competitions with Everton finishing 12th(2019/20) and 10th(2020/21).

Ancelotti opted to depart from Goodison Park in favour of a return to Real Madrid earlier this summer. This takes place five years after his first reign at the Bernabéu came to an end. The new boss joins Real on a contract that runs through 2024.

Real Madrid could be the next step for Richarlison

Richarlison, who represented Brazil at the Copa America, joined Everton from Watford for £50,000,000 in 2018. Since then, he has proved to be a crucial part of the Toffees’ attack.

He is a right-footed attacker, playing on the left side of the front-line. Richarlison naturally looks to cut inside the penalty box from the left channel. The majority of his attacking play involves moving infield from wider areas and attempts to shift the ball onto his right foot to shoot or find a pass.

Richarlison has netted 42 goals in 119 appearances for Everton, with 13 of those coming this past season. A move to Madrid can be the next step in his career.
