Mohammedan SC will face the Indian Air force in the Opener of the Durand Cup. Certainly, the 130th edition of Asia’s Oldest tournament will commence from September 5. Further, the competition will end on October 3.
Most importantly 16 teams are will Participate in the prestigious competition. Further, these 16 teams were split into four groups. In addition, the Indian Armed forces and the Government of West Bengal will organise this government.
Certainly, the first winners of Durand Cup Mohammedan SC will face Bengaluru United, the Indian Air Force and Central Reserve Police Force CRPF in Group A.
Bengaluru FC, Kerala Blasters alongside Delhi FC and Indian Navy Football Team are placed in Group C. And Kerala Blasters will make their debut in Durand Cup this year.
Assam Rifles Football Team, Army Red Football Team alongside Hyderabad FC and the current I-League and Durand Cup champions Gokulam Kerala FC will play in Group D.
Certainly, the top two teams from each group will move to Quater Finals. And the Semis will commence on September 27 and September 29. And the finals of the 130th edition of the Durand Cup will play on the 3 of October 2021.
The Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (VYBK), Kalyani Municipality Stadium and Mohun Bagan Club Ground will serve as the three venues for this year’s tournament.
