The German is turning the attention of many top clubs as he has cemented his place in the Gladbach side. Manchester City wanted to sign the player in 2018, but the player felt it was not the best decision to do at such a young age.
Luca Netz made his move from Hertha Berlin to Borussia Monchengladbach this summer. But his performance is attracting interest from many clubs including Manchester City and Bayern Munich. But Netz feels that it is better to play regularly and develop with Gladbach.
LUCA NETZ HAPPY OVER MANCHESTER CITY SNUB
“I think it’s nonsense to switch to Man City at such a young age. Even if I were to get another offer now, I would turn it down” – told Luca Netz when asked about Manchester City offer.
The teenager has already made an impression with Gladbach and have appeared 5 times already in the Bundesliga. When asked about the interest from topsides, Netz replied that he is happy with his current situation.
“I have a clear plan, and it’s simply too early for the Premier League. It’s important for me to play for Borussia, to gain experience and to develop steadily. Then we will see what happens in a few years.”- said Netz to Bild.
It is still not sure whether top sides like Manchester City or Bayern Munich will pursue the signature of Netz in the coming summer. The player has a contract with Gladbach till 2026 and hence the club is not in a hurry to sell him any time soon.
