Accomplishing his Father’s dream to become a professional footballer and playing at the national level. Bidyashagar has been playing football since he was 11 years old. His Understanding about the game came from the former Indian footballer Prameshwori Devi.

Bidyashagar began his journey of professional football by playing for East Bengal for a time span of 4 years. A period he believes has taught him a lot.

“I gained a lot of experience during my time with East Bengal. They are one of the biggest clubs in India and I can never forget the goal I scored against Shillong Lajong. It was my debut goal in the I-League and it will always be close to my heart,” he said

Bidyshagar has 29 appearances for East Bengal and has scored 9 goals for them. Including 1 league goal, 5 Cup goals and 3 goals in other tournaments.

At the age of 16, Bidyashagar joined TRAU FC where he got to learn a lot from the top Manipuri players. Bidyashagar has played a key role in this season’s I-league campaign for TRAU, having scored 11 goals in 11 matches Bidyashagar is “living the dream” not only that Bidyashagar has become the first Indian Footballer to score Hat-tricks in two consecutive matches of the I-league.

With having scored 11 goals the Indian strikers has been in a great touch with his recent exploits pushing him to the top of the race for the golden boot.

For Bidyashagar it’s a perfect time to remember the people who have motivated him and made his what he today is, as he dedicated his perfomance to his mentor saying.

“I would like to dedicate this record to my family, and to Prameshwori Devi, who was my first coach,”

Bidyashagar, A hot Commodity in the Indian market for ISL Clubs:

These prolific performance by Bidyashagar has definitely grabbed the attention of ISL teams. It would be interesting to see which team would be able to secure Bidyashagar as their future asset. According to my opinion, Bidyashagar should play for Chennaiyin FC. As the clearly lacking a player with quality finishing after Valskis left for Jamshedpur.

Kerala Blasters and East Bengal can also show interest in the youngster as clubs have sustained huge losses due to ghost stadiums and affording a Foreign Striker on high wages is non-sensical for lower-half clubs. I-League is also a old venue of recruitment for NorthEast United, they could well take a gamble on the youngster.
