Churchill Brothers SC star striker Clayvin Zúñiga set to join CD FAS

After a remarkable season with the I-League outfit, Churchill Brothers Sporting Club parted ways with Clayvin Zúñiga. In the coming days, he will join CD FAS a top-tier club of El Salvador that plays in Primera División Clausura.

Clayvin signed for the I-League outfit Churchill Brothers in 2020. He made his debut for the club in January 2020 against Indian Arrows in a 5-2 victory. He smashed three goals in his debut match and surprised the supporters with the energy-filled match.

The 30-year-old Honduran found the back of the nets 8 times while provided two assists during the campaign. The Red Machines won the runners-up title during the 2020-21 I-League campaign.

Clayvin Zúñiga’s Career Before joining Churchill Brothers SC

Clayvin was called up for the Honduras national under-20 football team before he started his career at Clubs. He was part of the Honduras National Team at CONCACAF U-20 Championship 2011 as they reached the quarter-finals. Moreover, he also represented the U-23 National Team of Honduras.

Real C.D. España that participates in Liga Nacional de Honduras(the highest division of football in Honduras) was the first club that signed Clayvin. He appeared in 12 league games across two seasons for the club. With España he won the Honduran Liga Nacional in 2011-12.

Later he joined another Honduran club Deportes Savio F.C. for two seasons scoring four times. In 2014 he made a move to  C.D. Real Sociedad.

Before signing for the Churchill Brothers Clayvin joined El Salvador-based club Municipal Limeño. He had a notable spell with the Limeño where he played 102 fixtures scoring 37 times.
