Shadi Skaf in talks with Churchill Brothers

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Churchill Brothers are trying to get the defender Shadi Skaf on a free transfer. The 27-year-old player was in the Al-Ahli club in the previous season.

Shadi Skaf began his career in Lebanon with Al-Nejmeh and last season with Al-Ahli. Last season, the 27-year-old made 14 appearances in the Lebanese Premier League, and throughout the preceding six years, he has made around 100 appearances. While playing for Al-Nejmeh in 2014, he also won the Premier League.

Skaf is supposed to be a replacement for Hamza at Churchill

Churchill Brothers are familiar with the Lebanon market, having signed center-back Hamza Kheir from there last year. In the Lebanese Premier League, he has joined Al-Ahed. Kheir appeared in 12 league games, assisting his team to a second-place finish in the league, and he was nominated for Best Defender of the 2020–21 season.

Current Premier League Standings

On June 13, 2021, Kheir returned to Lebanon, signing with Al Ahed FC of the Lebanese Premier League.

Shadi Skaf is expected to be a good fit for Hamza’s role. The young player can play left and right back positions too. After nearly missing out on the I-League last season, the Goan club is hoping to sign Shadi Skaf to bolster their defence.
