About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Indian Super League outfit Bengaluru FC are looking for the transition in their team. After the horrendous 2020-21 season, Bengaluru are looking for a fresh start as they are letting go, seasoned players, such as Bheke and Harmanjot Khabra.

It is not exclusive anymore that the 30-year-old defender Rahul Bheke is set to leave the Blues. His contract has expired on May 21 and is set to join Mumbai City FC. Rahul has been one of the top defenders in the league, especially during the transitions from attack to defense. Rahul joining the champions itself show, how highly he is rated in the league.

After getting picked in the 2017-18 draft, Bheke has been one of the few regular contestants for the Blues from the past 4 seasons. His biggest contribution to the team has to be his winning goal against Goa FC in the final of 2018-19. It would be a bittersweet ending for him and the Blues, but his transfer would be better for the team as well as for him. Bheke would be thriving to prove himself as one of the best right-backs in the country under Lobera’s administration.

On the other hand, Harmanjot Singh Khabra is about to leave Bengaluru this summer. After three years of service for the Blues Harmanjot is finally looking for a different challenge. According to the sources Khabra wants to join East Bengal, but due to their issues with the investors, both parties are still silent on the move.

Khabra has been the Indian midfield mainstay for the Blues. Harman has played more than 100 matches in 4 seasons. Harmanjot and Bengaluru together have won the ISL, Federation Cup. and the Supercup.

What lies ahead for Bengaluru FC after this Exodus of Experience players such as Bheke and Harmanjot

Bengaluru are not just letting the players go without having a backup plan. The replacements are already there among the foreign players. The 34-year-old Brazilian Cleiton Silva, Australian midfielder Erik Paartalu, and Spanish defender Juanan will continue. These players will fill the void.

Bengaluru’s next season is definitely going to be very fascinating to watch. After the changes they are going to make.
