Mumbai City FC thrashed Odisha FC by 6-1 at GMC Stadium in the Indian Super League fixture on Wednesday evening to put an end to their losing streak.

Odisha FC who has struggled throughout the season has been brutally thrashed as the Islanders dominated the game. The word go as Bipin completed a hat-trick while Ogbeche netted a brace.

Odisha now have only nine points in nineteen matches which secures them their position at the bottom of the table. Whereas Mumbai City have third-seven points in nineteen matches and are currently placed at the second position of the table.

Sergio Lobera Did not used the same formation (4-2-3-1) even after the defeat against Jamshedpur FC. However, he made four major changes in the squad, Playing Obegeche, Bipin, Dakshinamurthy, and M Singh.

Odisha FC’s head coach changed their formation after the defeat against Goa FC and used (4-4-2) as their formation replacing the whole front three with Onwu and Mauricio.

The match started well for the Kalinga warriors as the Islanders were looking out of touch and Odisha even managed to win a penalty in the ninth minute of the match and Mauricio capitalized on it too. But Mumbai weren’t behind for too long they scored after five minutes.

Odisha put on a good fight for the next twenty minutes as Mumbai struggled to score from clear-cut chances, but once they managed to score. the floodgates opened, Mumbai’s second goal had a little bit of luck to it. Then just Five minutes later Mumbai struck again making it clear, that who s securing the victory.

With seconds to go before half-time, Goddard found the net with a peach of a goal. Two minutes after the second half started Bipin managed to score again securing his second goal and in the eighty-seventh minute, Bipin secured the match ball by scoring the hattrick. Throughout the second-half, Odisha looked rusty and lacked concentration.

Bipin Singh: The match was all about Bipin Singh and Mumbai’s dominance against Odisha. Bipin’s hattrick broke Odisha’s every hope for a draw.

Odisha’s will pay against East Bengal at GMC Stadium this Saturday in the Indian Super League and Mumbai will face ATK Mohun Bagan at GMC Stadium On Sunday.
