Sanson signed a new 3-year contract with FC Goa

Sanson Pereira was handed a new 3-year contract by FC Goa after an impressive ISL performance. Head coach Juan Ferrando also has enough faith in Sanson, so handing him a new deal to the defender was simple.

The 23-year-old defender had joined the Gaurs on an initial two-year contract following his superlative displays for Salgaocar FC in the Goa Professional League. The club has always been confident about the defender since the Goa domestic league.

Sanson got an opportunity to make his debut in FC Goa after the suspension of Saviour Gama. Sanson featured in only 4 matches in his debut season but played all the 6 matches in AFC.

“I have been an FC Goa fan ever since the ISL started in 2014. I have been to the game at the Fatorda Stadium. It was always my dream to play for this team and it has finally come true. “I want to win everything with the club. I want to win every game I play in FC Goa colors.”– Sanson

Born in Goa, Pereira started his career with the Salgaocar youth teams after impressing in a trial for the club’s under-14 side. Pereira was promoted to the club’s senior squad and was part of the team that won the Goa Professional League, the top-tier state league in Goa.

With an extremely good performance in AFC, the defender has earned the confidence of the head coach.

FC Goa is ready for the new season

FC Goa has been recruiting players from all over the country. The club’s latest steal was Dioni which will be known as very beneficial. After an impressive ISL season and a notable performance at AFC, the club has started its preparation.

All the fans are looking forward to the battle between Saviour and Sanson for the starting left-back spot as both the players are young and talented.
