Even after failing to reach the Copa del Rey final, Sevilla star Ivan Rakitic sat down for an exclusive interview with LaLiga TV. Where he opened up about his former club, manager, teammates, and more.
The 32-year-old Croatian joined the Catalan giants in 2014. And after dedicating six years at the Camp Nou, and winning major titles he rejoined the Andalusians last year.
However, along with playing next to Messi & Co. the ex FC Barcelona midfielder recalled his days at Barça and shared few precious moments.
“I’m glad that I spent a great year with Xavi, and more years with Iniesta, with whom I have strengthened my relationship on the pitch as well. The hunger they had was incredible. I learned from those guys on the field.” – Ivan Rakitic in an interview with Guillem Balague of La Liga TV
And of course, he also poked fun at the Blaugrana captain Leo Messi speaking about that “one trophy” the Argentine will never win.
Rakitic got hold of the Europa League title during his 2013-14 season with the Europa League Specialists Sevilla. However, he’s still keen about the six-time Ballon d’Or winner.
