In the second chapter of IWL, Dalima Chhibber, who can play as a center-back, right-back or a central midfielder, played last season for Indian Super League outfit FC Pune City. Talking about the quality of results, she claims that this year the level of competition has improved.

Born into a family of sportsmen, the 20-year-old entered football in fourth-grade. Dalima thanks her father for her performance so far, having represented India at the U-14, U-16, U-19 levels and now the senior side.

Dalima Chhibber kick-started her Indian Women’s League (IWL) campaign at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong, wearing the number 17 shirt.

In the 28th minute, the Delhi-born girl bagged the India Rush Soccer Club’s equalising goal as she fired a piledriver from 40 yards out that sailed into the net.

2019 SAFF Women’s Championship Most Valuable Player (MVP) Of The Tournament

In the 2016 South Asian games against the Maldives, Dalima made her international debut. Then she became a frequent pick for the national team after that.

Dalima scored her first goal against Bangladesh in the 2019 SAFF Women’s Championship on 20 March 2019.

She was given the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament Award for her prolific success in the 2019 SAFF Women’s Championship.

Footballer Dalima Chhibber is India’s new player to star in the ‘Break the Link’ campaign video for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The concept behind the video is to spread awareness of the pandemic of COVID-19.

Chibber joins the likes of Yazan Al Arab of Jordan and Nuriddin Davronov of Tajikistan in the latest film.

Sunil Chhetri, the skipper of the Indian men’s football team, and Bala Devi, a female footballer, have starred in the same AFC advertisement.
