Indian Super League Outfit Jamshedpur FC have signed Anas Edathodika on a multi-year deal ahead of the upcoming campaign. He was a part of the Men in Steel in the 2017 ISL campaign where he appeared in 8 fixtures. While Jamshedpur FC is one of the busiest clubs in the transfer window.
Anas began his senior football career playing for Mumbai, later joined Pune. He collectively made over 200 appearances for both the Maharashtra-based clubs. He made his ISL debut in 2015 for the Delhi Dynamos, which is now reformed as Odisha FC.
Thereafter, the I-League club Mohun Bagan signed him, followed by ISL club Jamshedpur FC, Kerala Blasters, and ATK. Under the Indian National team head coach Stephen Constantine, he made his India debut in the year 2017.
Jamshedpur finished at sixth in the points table by the end of the 2020 campaign with 27 points from 20 fixtures. Due to the poor performance by the backline, Men of Steel are searching for an experienced Indian center-back.
Jamshedpur are well aware of the experience Anas has across both the top league of the country. He can turn to be an asset to the head coach, Owen Coyle.
