Julian Araujo speaks about his otherworldly experience at Barcelona

Julian Araujo

Julian Araujo, who recently joined Barcelona from LA Galaxy, has shared his initial thoughts on the club. The right-back is currently practicing with Barca Atletic and has occasionally trained with Xavi’s first-team since his arrival. Despite acknowledging the significant difference from Galaxy, Araujo expressed his fondness for life at Barca.

What did Araujo say about his experience at the club?

Araujo said:

“It’s amazing, man. It’s a whole other world.”

“You always have to be on your toes, always have to be ready, expecting what’s going to happen next, if you’re defending the pace is very, very high.”

In addition, Araujo mentioned that Rafa Marquez, the coach of Barca Atletic and a former Barcelona player, has been providing him with guidance and suggestions. He said:

“In trainings, I just look back and think wow.”

“This is why even as a coach, this is why I know he was a top footballer, because of the way he goes about his days, the way he talks to us. Sometimes he’ll even train with us and he still has quality.

“He’s been great with me, he’s had some words with me about what I need to work on, what it is that I’m doing well, what I can do better and how I can do them better.”

Araujo is currently with the Mexican national team. The team is competing in Nations League fixtures over the international break against Suriname and Jamaica. Only time will tell what role he will play for Barcelona in the future.
