Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano claims that FC Barcelona, a large European team, has made Brighton & Hove Albion winger Kaoru Mitoma their “top target for 2024.”

Kaoru Mitoma is a Baller

Since joining the first team in August 2022, the 26-year-old has been a tremendous asset to the Seagulls. Roberto De Zerbi, the head coach of Albion, is a big fan of the Japanese winger. Who signed for a whopping £3 million from Kawasaki Frontale in August 2021. In 52 games, he has contributed 13 goals and 12 assists.
This season, Kaoru Mitoma also created Premier League history. The Brighton hero won strike of the Month after his incredible solo strike. It came in the 4-1 away victory at Wolverhampton Wanderers. It made him the first Japanese player to win a Premier League monthly award.

Brighton Will Negotiate

Though Romano asserts the Seagulls are on the verge of signing Mitoma to a “new deal,” the small winger’s outstanding performances have apparently attracted the attention of “many clubs around Europe,” including five-time UEFA Champions League champions Barcelona.

“I’m aware of some talk of Barcelona making Kaoru Mitoma a top target for 2024, but honestly, at the moment, I’m not aware of anything concrete,” the Italian wrote in Fabrizio Romano’s Daily Briefing.

“Although several teams in Europe value Mitoma, nothing much has progressed with anybody at this time.

“But Brighton is making headway in their negotiations with Mitoma for a new deal, and an agreement is anticipated shortly.”
