Keylor Navas to leave Paris Saint-Germain due to arrival of Donnarumma

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Lately, there have been insistent rumors about the departure of Keylor Navas from Paris Saint-Germain. This season he won the title of the best goalkeeper in Ligue 1. Paris Saint-Germain is already well advanced in its recruitment plan for the summer Mercato. A few days ago they signed Georginio Wijnaldum and are still negotiating with Eduardo Camavinga. Moreover, Paris Saint-Germain will announce very soon the arrival of Gianluigi Donnarumma.

To finalize the contract of Gianluigi Donnarumma lacks only the authorization of the Italian Football Federation and that of Roberto Mancini the coach. Indeed, the Italian international has not managed to find an extension agreement with AC Milan.

He is now about to sign a 5-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain for a salary of €12 million per season. The medical examination of Gianluigi Donnarumma is being organized. Leonardo has already made it clear that the newcomer will be replacing Navas in the starting Xl. Keylor Navas disappointed Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-final against Manchester City.

All this organization is closely related to the Navas case. Originally Paris Saint-Germain planned to recruit Gianluigi Donnarumma and then loan him to AS Roma. However, the young player is not interested at all, which leaves the door open for Navas to leave Paris Saint-Germain. AS Roma needs a goalkeeper and are big admirers of the former Real Madrid keeper. Navas will have to choose before the start of the next season.

The departure of Navas from Paris Saint-Germain does not only interest AS Roma:

Since Donnarumma’s arrival is more or less confirmed. It remains to be seen Navas’s next plan of action. According to reports, he will lose his number 1 spot on the team and will to be a backup and a bench warmer. A transfer would be his best option and a move to AS Roma is already on the table. Navas also expressed himself on the subject on his social networks. The sentence remains mysterious because without context but rather explicit.

“Offer your absence to the one who does not value your presence. “ – Keylor Navas on his networks Monday, June 14.

Despite all he has done for his clubs over the years, Navas has always been blamed. It’s sad to see a player of his calibre always be blamed and targeted everywhere he goes. AS Roma is is not the only club interested in signing Navas. Juventus, Milan, and Manchester United are also very interested in the Costa Rican keeper.

On the Juventus side, Navas would compete with Wojciech Szczesny to become number one. The Juventus goalkeeper is known for not always being very regular in his presence and his performances. At Milan, Navas will have to face a rival goalkeeper. Milan no longer has Donnarumma in its squad but replaced him with Mike Maignan. Navas is therefore not guaranteed to be a starter if he chooses one of these two clubs.

However, hope is created on the side of Manchester United. The goalkeeper David De Gea, who plays with the English team since 2011, may be pushed towards the exit. His contract runs until June 30, 2023. Unfortunately, this one does not seem to satisfy the leaders of Manchester United. The opportunity is perhaps to seize Keylor Navas.
