Kurt Zouma to leave Chelsea?

Kurt Zouma the Chelsea defender maybe on his way to West Ham. The French international is eager to stay in the English Premier League for his development.

The Blues had offered him in an exchange deal with the La Liga side Sevilla for Jules Kounde, which he has reportedly turned down. He is not looking forward to leaving the English Premier League. Now he is in talks with West Ham. Chelsea and Sevilla will now carry out the business-related of Jules Kounde without the involvement of any player exchange. The Spanish side is willing to depart with Kounde for 80 million euros.

Kurt Zouma has played for Chelsea on and off since 2014. Loaned twice in his stay in Chelsea first to Stoke City in 2017-2018 season and the following season 2018-2019 to Everton. He then returned to Chelsea and has played a total of 150 games and scored 10 goals and has 4 assists to his name.

Kurt Zouma had quite a successful time in Chelsea winning trophies. He has won the English Premier League twice 2014-15, 2016-17. The UEFA Champions League in 2020-2021 of which he was an integral part. He was also Chelsea’s Young Player of the year 2014-2015.

The following summer of 2021 has seen the future of Zouma in blurs as he was linked to Tottenham Hotspur and Everton to be his likely residence but the Blues wanted him to be an exchange player for Kounde. The situation turned on its head as he was unwilling to leave the English Premier League.
