Wolves

Leicester are in the lead to recruit Boubakary Soumare this summer. The English club is ready to make many financial sacrifices to have the young player on their team. The transfer could be completed for €35 million.

Leicester have overtaken Tottenham and Manchester United in the race for Soumare. The Frenchman is the priority for the Foxes who sit 3rd in the Premier League. His good performances have attracted many eyes to the talented youngster.

Boubakary Soumare has been playing for LOSC Lille since 2017. On May 7th Lille will face Lens for their Ligue 1 fixture. Boubakary Soumare is a common name on the starting lineup nowadays. However, he will have to prove himself till the end of the season if wants a big move to England.

Can Leicester land Soumare?

The midfielder is of interest to Manchester United and Tottenham as well. However, it is Leicester who would have a better chance to obtain the Senegalese player.

“By his shape, he needs to perform one after the other games and we see that when this is the case he becomes more and more successful.” -Christophe Galtier, manager of Lille.

It is this contractual situation that forces the Lille leaders to consider his departure. Otherwise, Lille risks seeing him leave the club on a free at the end of his contract next summer. The player is not pushed to the exit, but will probably not be retained in case of great offers. Soumare has the potential to be a star.
