While giving an interview to Onze Mondial Olympique Lyon’s teenage midfielder Rayan Cherki expressed his desire of playing for Real Madrid. The 18-year-old is one of the emerging players who has shown some exceptional talents in the midfield last season.
Making his debut for Olympique Lyon in January 2020, Rayan Cherki has already made 44 appearances in the first team. And went to score 7 goals and 6 assists in all competitions. But despite his love for the home club, the teenager has a dream about playing for Real Madrid in the future.
With his contract ending in 2023, it is likely that he will stay two more years with Lyon. As he has a special connection to the club due to his family members and childhood memories. But after a few years of establishing himself in the football world, the youngster wants to fulfill his dream of playing for Real Madrid.
While Real Madrid might be happy to sign Rayan Cherki in coming seasons if he proves himself well. Investing in young midfielders Madrid have Federico Valverde and signed an 18-year-old Eduardo Camavinga this season. And if Rayan Cherki joins in the near future then combining they would prove to be a deadly trio.
Following his form and talent, last season Rayan Cherki was valued at 24 million by the French side. By seeing his potential is a fair price, but no club bided for the youngster this summer. As a result, he continues to play for Olympique Lyon and has already made one appearance in Ligue 1 this season. However, we don’t know about the future, as seeing his growth in midfield it will be no shock he transfers to some big European club.
