Manchester United sent some brilliant talents like Diego Dalot, James Garner, Tahith Chong, Joel Pereira, and Andreas Periera on loan to different clubs.
However, the Red Devils would be eager in providing them more playing time with their current clubs.
The club is now renowned for its development of some wonderful players like Alexis Sanches, Dean Henderson, and Chris Smalling among the big names.
Let’s have a look at some new talents the club is developing through its loaning system.
Diego Dalot – impressive at AC Milan:
Diego Dalot has been a key player for Italian giants AC Milan. Dalot last played for Manchester United in a 2-0 away win to Chelsea as a last-minute substitute on Feb 17, 2020.
The 21-year-old right-back scored a goal in 11 appearances for the English giants in the 2019-20 season. But, the Portuguese was haunted by injuries and Aaron Wan-Bissaka took his place as a regular.
However, at the Italian side, he has been a more key player scoring a goal and assisting 2 goals in 15 appearances as a left-back.
His contract expires on 30 June 2021. The Rossoneri look to make the loan deal permanent.
James Garner – a regular for Watford on loan from Manchester United
James Garner made his senior debut for Manchester United aged 17 and currently, he is on loan to Championship side Watford.
The 19-year-old defensive midfielder has been a regular for the Hornets playing almost 20 matches in their hunt to reach the promotion to Premier League.
He has assisted in one of the goals scored by the club and has only been benched twice in his 22 total matches.
His contract expires on 31st May 2021. The championship side is keen on keeping him in the squad for a permanent deal.
Tahith Chong – shining in the Bundesliga:
Tahith Chong scored on his debut for Werder Bremen in a DFB Pokal match against Carl Zeisse Jana, a lower ranked club.
The 21-year-old winger chose the right option to ditch the English side for a regular playing time in the German club. However, he is almost a regular for Bremen scoring a goal and two assists in 15 matches played.
Chong had two assists in 12 appearances while playing for the Red Devils in the 2019-20 season.
His contract is set to expire on June 30 2021. However, his current club is delighted with his performance but it would be interesting to see if he leaves Manchester.
Joel Pereira – a player who needs to develop more:
Joel Pereira is one of the goalkeepers that have been sent out on loan from Manchester United.
However, his recent performances at loan stints in Hearts FC and Huddersfield Town hasn’t been up to the mark.
The 24-year-old goalie has conceded four goals in his one and only appearance for the Championship side.
However, the goalkeeper has had some brilliant matches such as the 5-2 penalty shootout win against Aberdeen FC in the quarter-finals of the Scottish League Cup. However, he conceded 43 goals in 25 appearances for the Scottish side as they were relegated.
His contract expires on May 31 2021. Although the future at the current club is uncertain.
Andreas Pereira – a bright start for Lazio on loan from Manchester United:
Andreas Pereira is having a good time at his current club, Lazio. He has scored a goal in 12 appearances for the Roman side.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder scored in the 4-3 away win to Torino in the Serie A.
The Brazilian playmaker scored 2 goals and has 4 assists in 40 appearances for the Red Devils during the 2019-20 season.
His contract expires on June 30 2021. Pereira would like to play for the Italian side on a permanent basis.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are on top of the Premier League. However, the right players could even win them the title!
