Mbappe to miss the semi-final against Manchester City

Kylian Mbappe came out limping against Metz this Saturday in Ligue 1. PSG Mauricio Pochettino said Mbappe has a lef injury which might make him miss the Champions League fixture against the Cityzens

During the duel with Habib Maïga, Kylian Mbappe remained on the ground. He took a blow to a knee. After the intervention of the nurses, the Frenchman was able to resume his place on the field for a few moments. Unfortunately, a few minutes later he definitely had to leave his place on the ground. 

 “It is a blow to the quadriceps. I think it’s not a big deal, I don’t think he’s in danger for Wednesday. It’s just a knock. It doesn’t feel like it, but that’s because it’s in slow motion.”- Mauricio Pochettino 

Can Mbappe recover from his injury?

Although the coach of the Paris club tries to be reassuring, the fact remains that a few days before the semi-final one of the top scorers is injured. Obviously, Mbappe’ injury would be a huge blow for Paris against Manchester City.

In previous Champions League matches, PSG has always been able to rely on Kylian Mbappe’s goals.  It is his double against Bayern in the first leg that made the score take off. Moreover, his 3 goals against Barcelona during the Round of 16 which had allowed Paris Saint-Germain to reach the victory.
