I-League: Mohammedan SC Rope in Striker Gourav Mukhi

I-League club Mohammedan SC have announced the signing of Indian striker Gourav Mukhi, on Saturday.

“Mohammedan SC rope in former Jamshedpur FC forward Gourav Mukhi for the upcoming I-League 20-21 season !!,” the club tweeted.

Mukhi started his youth career with Tata Steel, which competed in the Jharkhand Football League. The player later joined Jamshedpur FC B in 2017 and went on to make 10 appearances for the club. During his stint with the club, he found the net a total of six times.

Very soon, Gourav Mukhi was promoted to the senior team and found the net once during his four appearances. He scored his first goal for the ISL side when he came off the bench and netted an equalizer at the 81st minute to help his side level score 1-1, against Bengaluru FC.

The player was even felicitated with the ISL Emerging Player of the Match Award after scoring a goal on his debut.

Mohammedan SC to play season opener against Sudeva Delhi FC

I-League outfit Mohammedan SC will square off against Sudeva Delhi in the curtain-raiser of the upcoming edition of the league. The opening game of I-League 2020/21 will take place at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata, West Bengal.

The match will take place on January 9th at 2:00 PM, and both sides will look to start their campaign with a victory.
