Mumbai City FC extended their lead at the top of the table with a solid 1-0 win over Chennaiyin FC(CFC). Meanwhile, CFC lost out on their unbeaten streak after falling prey to a late winner from Rahul Bheke in the 87th minute.

CFC came into the match, determined not to lose out on their unbeaten streak. However, they did not manage to get themselves into the game. Mumbai had most of the possession and Rahul Bheke provided the finishing touch to win it all for The Islanders. Mumbai City FC now lead the pack with a margin of 4 points as they comfortably sit on top of the league table of the Indian Super League.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH

Rahul Bheke’s late winner was the separating factor between the two teams. His solid partnership in defense with Mourtada Fall helped The Islanders keep a clean sheet.

He completed the most number of passes in the match(86) with an accuracy of 99%. Bheke helped his team play out from the back, making 15 long passes. His overall performance saw him win the Hero of the Match award, his strike giving Mumbai City FC all 3 points.
