Mumbai City FC signed a three-year extension deal with Pranjal Bhumij

Indian Super League Champions Mumbai City FC have agreed to terms with Pranjal Bhumij for extending his contract by three more years. He has committed his future in the club till 2024.

The 22-year-old midfielder joined the Islander in the 2017 ISL draft, as a development player. As of now, he has completed four years of development with the Islanders.

He appeared in 22 fixtures for the Islanders since his spell in the club. Pranjal scored his maiden goal for the club in ISL 2018-19 and earned an assist as well. During the ISL 2020, he played 4 fixtures, completing 48 passes and 62 touches.

“For the last four years, Mumbai City has been an immense part of my life. I have been able to gain so much invaluable experience from the different coaches I’ve worked with over the years,” -Pranjal

Islanders head coach Sergio Lobera concludes that Pranjal is one of the best talented young players in India. The youngster will have many opportunities to make a name as the ISL have decided to allow seven Indian players to take on the field at a given time.
