In a game that could have gone either way, NorthEast United FC grabbed a late winner to clinch a 2-1 victory over FC Goa. Khassa Camara (90+4′) bagged a late winner which finally gave the Highlanders a much-needed win. The tie took place at the Fatorda stadium, Goa.

Northeast man Rochharzela (10′) opened the scoring for game early on. However, just 3 minutes later, Alexander Romario (13′) drew level for his side to make it 1-1.

This win marks the first in 4 games for Jamil’s men. On the other hand, Juan Ferrando’s side endure frustration after a third defeat this term.

Putting up a splendid showing once again was Hernan Santana. He did not manage to get on the scoresheet but his performance spoke volumes.

The Spaniard kept affairs fine and precise in the backline. His passing and control was sharp. Santana retained his composure and was tranquil throughout the match. He stood firm and thanks to his experience, handled Goa’s attackers well.
