NorthEast United FC Inks deal with Veteran Midfielder Sehnaj Singh

Midfielder Sehnaj Singh has signed a two-year contract with the Indian Super league Side NorthEast United FC. As per reports by Khel Now, the club has already signed the player.

The 28-year-old prefers playing in a Centre Midfield position, but he can also be comfortable playing as a Defensive midfielder.

At a very young age, Sehnaj joined Gurdaspur Football Academy. He played for I-League clubs like Pailan Arrows, Mumbai Tigers, Mumbai FC, Mohun Bagan during his first four seasons since his professional football debut.

ISL Experinces of Sehnaj before signing for NorthEast United

Sehnaj featured in 59 ISL fixtures across 4 seasons. Delhi Dynamos (now Odisha FC) signed the midfielder from a draft during the second ISL edition in 2015. He appeared in 10 fixtures and also scored one goal in his debut season.

Sehnaj made a permanent move to Mumbai City FC in 2016. Meanwhile, he was loaned out to Mohun Bagn for one season. He spent three seasons with the Mumbai City FC. Later he signed for ATK.

Recently the player featured in the ISL 2020 playing for Kolkata giants SC East Bengal.

As of now, he has played a total of 59 ISL fixtures from which he managed to add one goal to his name. the player has also represented I-League clubs 44 times netting twice.

NEUFC preparations and New signings

The Highlanders have recently roped in Hernán Santana from defending champions Mumbai City FC.

Moreover, Indian head coach Khalid Jamil is going to be the first-ever Indian manager to coach a club in ISL history.

Last season NEUFC finished 3rd just below the 2nd placed ATK Mohun Bagan with 33 points.
