Odisha FC to sign Isaac Vanmalsawma from Jamshedpur FC

Odisha FC are interested to sign midfielder Isaac Vanmalsawma from Jamshedpur FC. The Bhubaneswar-based side finished at the bottom of the table last ISL season. With just 2 wins in their 20 league fixtures.

Isaac is an AIFF Elite Academy graduate, he started his senior footballing journey with Shillong Lajong during the I-League 2015-16 season. Played a total of six fixtures in his debut season, he bagged a goal against the Kolkata giants East Bengal.

Meanwhile, Indian national team Head coach Stephen Constantine handed him his international debut against Bhutan.

After completing three years at the club, he was roped by Indian Super League side Pune City FC back in the year 2017 for a one-year deal. He appeared in 12 fixtures during his spell at the Club. Pune City FC made up to the Playoff stage that season.

Later Chennaiyin FC signed him for a season, he made 20 appearances for the Machans. Issac scored his maiden goal in ISL with the Marina Machans against ATK FC.

Since the last two seasons, he had been with the Jamshedpur FC, but he could not secure a place in the starting XI. However, he has featured for 25 fixtures for the Men of Steel, where he scored once and provided one assist.

Odisha FC will be completing signing three former players from Pune City FC after they sign Isaac.
